Favourite Things

I have been having a pretty great week this last week. Lots of things have been changing and a lot of potentially stressful situations have occurred. Nonetheless, I have still been having a great week. I have been attempting to be content and happy with where I am and with the things that I have. In this endeavour there are a few little things that have been bringing my joy lately. The following is a list of my recent favourite things.

1. Favourite to Eat

I have been eating this chop chop salad for lunch a lot lately and absolutely love it. It is super unique in flavour and surprisingly filling. My favourite part, though, is how easy it is to make! You just pour all the ingredients into a bowl, mix it up, and enjoy!

2. Favourite to Read

Now, I will be honest, I have never actually finished reading this book before. But I have started it many many times. I think usually that means that it isn't a good book since it can't capture your attention. But this book is an exception. I believe that the only reason I have never finished this book is because of how good it is. I think that if I finished this book it would have a significant effect on my spirit. And therefore, my flesh always finds a way to forget to finish reading it. Now, this is just a theory. But this is the book I am currently reading. And so far I love it.

3. Favourite to Listen to

Please understand that I am by no means saying that this is my all time favourite album. I am not saying that because that is not true. I will never be able to tell you my favourite album of all time because I don't have one. Music is way to important to me and I could never ever choose. But this album is the one that I have been jamming out to like crazy this past few weeks. My favourite song off of it is "When The Fight Calls". It has been giving me a lot of joy and victory this week!

4. Favourite to Smell

If you know me at all you will know that candles are one of my all time favourite things. I am obsessed. I always have candles all over my home and they are usually lit at some point throughout the day. Now, for the most part I do not spend much money on expensive candles. I will usually try to find candles that are on sale or just burn cheap tea lights when I can't afford a nice candle. But one piece of advice I will give is that if you cheap out on candles you will find it makes a difference. Cheap candles have way less scent in them. They will smell good unlit but when you light them the smell does not spread at all. It's pretty disappointing. So I buy nice candles, but when they are on sale. Anyways! Rabbit trail. My favourite candle right now was actually a gift I got for christmas from my in-laws. It's an essential oil candle so the smell is strong but in a very fresh and natural way! I have been seriously savouring this candle as I have had it since christmas and am still only halfway through.

So there are a few of my favourite things right now! What are some of your favourites? What is bringing you joy lately?
